Jason grew up in Edmond, OK and was always in the church and on a field or court from an early age. At a summer camp at age 9, Jason’s faith journey began by accepting Christ and in time grew being further challenged in the local huddle of FCA. His Dad, and other men like Chuck Bowman and John O’Dell (FCA) were very influential in his life. As a Senior in high school, he was invited to a summer FCA in Estes Park, Colorado (by another FCA legend, Doc Blevins) where he was ask to share his testimony for the first time.
Influencing others and using the platform God has provided was a key focus on college at the University of Arkansas. Jason was a 4 year letterman QB at Arkansas from 1991-94. He was active in ministry on campus sharing his faith and growing in fellowship with with other athletes on campuses. He served as Student President of Arkansas Athletes Outreach for two years. This opportunity allowed for real growth and establishing a heart to see others come to Christ and find freedom from the grips of always having to perform and live up to the world’s expectations.
After graduation from college, Jason began in full-time ministry serving NW Arkansas FCA Jr/Sr High huddles, promoting / leading camps, and working with coaches across the state. T.Ray Grandstaff hired him and was highly influential in growing his faith and vision for living all-out for Christ. This was a foundation for authenticity and vision for connecting with people genuinely for eternal influence.
Jason resides in Springdale with his wife, Michelle, and dog, Tebow. They have two kids, Olivia, who lives in Little Rock and works as a Buyer for Dillard’s corporate, and Grant, who is in Fayetteville working at Hogan Taylor, a tax and audit firm.
