During his early childhood years, Emery was raised on a farm in Siloam Springs, AR. It was there that he learned the value of hard work and community, and where he began to consider how nature points to a Creator. As a teenager, Emery's family moved to Fayetteville. During those teenage years, God placed friends and mentors in his life that invested in him and encouraged him to read the Bible. He then started to understand his own sin and his need for a Savior. At the age of 15, Emery gave his life to Jesus. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and worked in the UA Athletic Department while in college. He is a lifelong Razorback fan and many of his memories over the years revolve around Razorback athletics. Emery is currently a Senior Private Banker at Arvest Bank, where he has worked for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Brittany, live in Fayetteville and have three boys - Reed (14), Will (11), and John (9). They are very involved in First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, where Emery has taught small group Bible study, helped lead in worship by playing guitar, and currently is active in leading a men's discipleship group.
