Entering the Kingdom

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. 14 How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14 CSB

  • What does this teach us about God?

    • The way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ alone. 
    • Salvation is a gift from God through his son Jesus. 

  • What does this teach us about people/ourselves?

    • We have to choose the approval of God and not man and that Way is narrow. 
    • The easy way only leads to destruction which ultimately to eternal punishment and separation from God. 

  • By God's grace, how will you obey?

    • We have to believe what God says in His word that only through faith in  Jesus can we have the right relationship with Him and have eternal life.  

Prayer: Father, by your spirit do what only you can do which is draw men and women to yourself. Help us in our unbelief. Guide us to chose the narrow way through your son Jesus Christ. In Jesus name we Pray! Amen!
