Cameron Little - Arkansas Razorback Football

Cameron Lilttle is a freshman kicker from Moore, OK. He arrived at the University of Arkansas in January of 2021 after graduating early from Southmoore High School. He started getting recruited his junior year in high school. Two years before that he wasn't playing football.

One day when Cam was tossing the ball around with his buddies he kicked a few and thought he might be pretty good. One Monday night his sophomore year he suited up for the JV squad, the first time he put pads on in an actual game. Four days later he was doing it again for the Varsity team on Friday night. On March 7th, 2020 Cameron made his official visit to the University of Arkansas. Not long after that COVID swept through the US and the rest of his scheduled visits were cancelled. Fortunately for Cam, he had already found his home.

Cam participated in FCA in junior high and found a home with Young Life in high school. He attended church every Sunday and volunteered in 'kids church'. He has always prioritized Christian community and that didn't stop when he got to college. He not only plugged himself into FCA, but has also invited some of his teammates (Patrick Foley, Francisco Castro, and Josh Street) along with him.

Things weren't always perfect upon arriving in Fayetteville. Leaving home meant there was a lot of "new" to absorb. New city, new friends, new classes, new schedule, new teammates, new everything! The "new" isn't all bad, but all the newness early on distracted Cam from what he valued most: his relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the summer Cam got a chance to slow down, take a step back, and recalibrate. He was a regular attendee of the FCA Summer huddles which, along with consistently staying in the Word, helped him re-center his life around his relationship with God.

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."

- James 1:2-4 -

As a new semester and new season begins Cam hopes to keep his mind focused on God's Word, football, and school. He knows if he has a healthy relationship with the first then there's no doubt he'll have a healthy relationship with the other two. He also looks forward to inviting more of his teammates into the Christian community he's found with FCA.
